The Chinese "tong shu", also known as the almanac, holds a significant historical importance, having been consulted by emperors and farmers over the centuries. It has served as a guide for auspicious timings in various activities such as governing, agriculture, battles, rituals, acupuncture, construction, and social events. The accumulation and organization of this valuable knowledge was overseen by the Chinese government's Department of Astrogeomancy, acting as a cosmic Advisory Board.

The DYC TongShu offers a concise and informative presentation of the key indicators for each day. Through notes derived from Liu Ming's Almanac Astrology classes, users gain insights into the solar and lunar cycles. Additionally, the app provides daily and lunar hexagrams along with a practical summary of activities categorized as Productive or Unproductive for each day.
